Bethany Bergman - Art

Art K-6

Room: E7

Hooray for ART!  My name is Bethany Bergman and I am very excited to share my love of art with the students of Neely Traditional Academy.  In the Gilbert District, art is offered on a biweekly basis.  Your student will have art class for 40 minutes every two weeks.  Every minute counts in art!

In class, students will have the opportunity to draw, paint, and sculpt in various media while learning about the Elements of Art and Principles of Design. They will also be challenged to think critically and creatively.

The art room is a place of expression, fun, and high level thinking that stretches our limits.  Children are challenged to Create, Present, Respond, and Connect to the art they will be making as well as to the world around them.

About Me

I am a Gilbert Public Schools Alumna – graduate of Highland High school class of ’01 (go Hawks!).  I attended Arizona State University where I received my B.F.A in Art Education. Afterward, I completed my Masters of Education in Elementary Education from Northern Arizona University.  I was hired by Gilbert Public Schools in 2007 and have been teaching at Neely ever since!  I love my Neely artists!

In addition to being an art teacher, I am a wife and mother.  I have three beautiful children and loving husband who help me smile every day.  I love to read, play the cello, sing, go to church, and make plans for trips and home overhauls.
