I am grateful to teach children who enjoy learning in an interactive way. We stick to our traditional learning style, with a dash of movement and interaction. Confidence in our abilities is a top priority. Other priorities include cultivating creativity and engaging minds.
I started teaching in 1996. My first years were spent teaching children with learning disabilities. I have also taught general education for several years. I accidentally fell into teaching children that were advanced learners. At the time I didn't realize how students with exceptional abilities were similar to children that struggle with learning, they were different from their peers. I relish in the uniqueness of personalities.
I graduated from GPS. I have continued to learn ever since. I graduated from NAU with a Social and Behavioral Science degree. I continued my education in San Diego, but missed the landscape of Arizona. I returned in 1999 and have enjoyed raising my son in an area that still had some farming.
